Event Details

Topic: Algorithms and Patterns for C#, .NET

Date: 2 November 2011 - 6 PM

Chander Dhall will present Algorithms and Patterns in C#, .NET.

Why are right algorithms and patterns are so vital to the robustness of your application? Why do software projects fail due to lack of focus on some of these basics? New patterns come out every day - do I have to know them? When to use and when not to use a pattern? Microsoft takes care of a lot of this for us so why should we bother with algorithms?

Come to this perspective talk to understand the importance of right patterns and right practices for enterprise software development. This talk focuses on 'not so widely known patterns' and assumes you know the widely used patterns like factory, strategy etc. If time permits Chander Dhall would like to have a discussion over web performance, too.

Pizza & drinks start at 6 PM, presentation starts at 6:30 PM.

North Dallas .NET Users Group

The North Dallas .NET User Group is a non-profit association of people who are interested in the .NET platform from Microsoft. We gather at least once a month where we typically have a top notch speaker which may include world renown speakers, INETA speakers, or even local talent, of which there is an incredible amount. We have a chance to socialize over free food and drinks provided by our incredible sponsorship. We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.
